Trade and wholesale

Trade usually runs several specialised systems. APIs and a layer in between can join them. A dependable shared state still needs clear keys, monitored failure routes and continuous upkeep.

The working day

The terms
come from you.

Wholesale, specialist retail, online retail, spare parts. Businesses where goods come in and go out, and where the margin comes out of figures that usually sit in specialised systems with different dates on them.

Where effort accumulates

A useful start
has a reason.

These situations help you recognise the work. We use your actual processes to find which apply to your business.

01

Stock needs reconciling

The figure in the system and the goods on the shelf can drift apart through posting times, returns or recording errors. Continuous or targeted reconciliation shows the difference earlier than the annual count.

02

Margin needs current sources

Buying price, selling price and discounts granted are not always available as of the same date. A dependable margin per item needs defined sources and updates you can follow.

03

Shop, till and books have to agree

APIs or a layer in between can exchange data. The shared state only becomes reliable with unambiguous item and document keys, error handling and monitoring. Every additional flow of data also has to be bounded safely and in line with data protection.

04

Supplier invoices go unchecked

Between the quantity ordered, delivered and invoiced there are differences. Finding them costs more time than they are usually worth, one by one.

A possible overview

Turnover is running. On two items the margin no longer holds.

While the warehouse was shut.

The picture of the business above is not a snapshot. It is the result of a repeatable reconciliation across the sources approved for it.

  1. 05:32 Agent · purchasing Seven supplier invoices checked against order and delivery note. On two of them the quantity differs.
  2. 05:49 Agent · purchasing Queries written to both suppliers. The drafts are ready, nothing is sent.
  3. 06:05 Agent · analysis Buying prices of 214 items compared with the selling prices on file.
  4. 06:11 Agent · analysis Two items are below the target margin. On both the buying price went up and the selling price did not.
  5. 06:26 Agent · stock Fourteen items below the reorder point. Order proposal built, quantities from the last eight weeks of use.
  6. 06:34 Agent · checks The till close and the books agree. The closed month stays locked.
  7. 08:12 Human · you You come in and read one sentence: turnover is running, on two items the margin no longer holds.

Comparing 214 items is no achievement. Doing it every day and only speaking up when something stands out is.

Which difference needs a decision today?

In trade, clarity comes out of the reconciliation: order, goods received, invoice, stock and selling price. Four cases show where NoMoreTools stops and puts something in front of you.

01

A full inventory system is not always the answer

Whether to build new or replace depends on scope, integrations and ongoing upkeep. Often a clearly bounded check of order, delivery note and invoice, with the margin per item, carries the first step.

02

Prices are sensitive commercial data

For buying terms, cloud and connecting-layer data flows need bounded access, the right contracts and a security and data protection review. Depending on how much protection is needed, local operation can be the more suitable build.

Your first stage

Start where
the work improves.

For Trade and wholesale, we choose a bounded first outcome with your team. Existing specialist systems can stay where they fulfil necessary requirements. We compare time relief, payments that can end and the cost of the new way of working.

The workshop gives you priorities and a roadmap. You can continue internally or with support from Markus Kirchmair. The choice of model and agent follows the task, with data and rules retained outside an individual chat.

Ready for the next change

Keep the work simple.

The first view should show the next relevant decision. Reasoning and sources remain accessible. We leave out unnecessary features and make actual progress visible.

When a rule changes, agents can help investigate the impact, prepare the adjustment and update tests and documentation. A qualified person assesses the result and its adoption.
