Production and manufacturing

A great deal is measurable in manufacturing. What matters is that recording does not disturb the rhythm.

The working day

The terms
come from you.

Contract manufacturing, metal and plastics, furniture and special machinery, food processing. Businesses where material and time become a piece, and where every minute of standstill counts.

Where effort accumulates

A useful start
has a reason.

These situations help you recognise the work. We use your actual processes to find which apply to your business.

01

Set-up time appears nowhere

It is real, often substantial, and not shown separately in every costing. Without it, small batch sizes cannot be judged reliably.

02

Scrap disappears

What does not come out right gets made again. The time is spent, but it is assigned to no order.

03

Traceability by word of mouth

Which batch sits in which piece is known as long as somebody remembers.

04

The machine schedule in one head

When which machine is free is known by the foreman. The plan consists of his memory.

A possible overview

Manufacturing is on plan. One order is getting tight.

06 · A shift to play through

Which deviation must not wait until the end of the shift?

Works order, set-up time, scrap and batch need short signals rather than extra recording. Pick the case from the shop floor.

Choose a starting position

An invented demonstration: the cases, the figures and the results are made up. Tab to the selection, change it with the arrow keys. Whatever you change here stays in this browser view; nothing goes to the server or to analytics, and nothing is stored.

Include the failure cases

01

Recording must not slow the line

Every entry at the machine costs seconds, and those seconds multiply by the thousand. Anything that does not work in one movement gets bypassed, and then the data is worse than before.

02

Traceability is a duty, not an analysis

Where batches have to be provable, completeness matters more than any measure. The system has to show where it knows nothing.

Your first stage

Start where
the work improves.

For Production and manufacturing, we choose a bounded first outcome with your team. Existing specialist systems can stay where they fulfil necessary requirements. We compare time relief, payments that can end and the cost of the new way of working.

The workshop gives you priorities and a roadmap. You can continue internally or with support from Markus Kirchmair. The choice of model and agent follows the task, with data and rules retained outside an individual chat.

Ready for the next change

Keep the work simple.

The first view should show the next relevant decision. Reasoning and sources remain accessible. We leave out unnecessary features and make actual progress visible.

When a rule changes, agents can help investigate the impact, prepare the adjustment and update tests and documentation. A qualified person assesses the result and its adoption.
